The Skunk2 Racing K-Series Aluminum Racing Oil Pan is a necessary addition to any high-performance K20 or K24 engine that needs improved oil control during high G-force operation*. Skunk2's K-Series Oil Pan is made from TIG welded aircraft grade 5052 aluminum and features a baffled sump with trap doors. This allows oil to freely flow in while preventing oil from flowing out and ensures that the oil pump pick-up is surrounded by oil when the vehicle is experiencing high G-Forces.
The Skunk2 Racing K-Series Aluminum Racing Oil Pan's design allows the oil to be flung away from the crankcase into the kick-out,' reducing windage-related power losses and reducing oil aeration for improved oiling performance. The kick-out' on the oil pan is also designed for improved windage control, reduced aeration, and increased oil capacity, improving engine power and reliability. The Skunk2 Racing K-Series Aluminum Racing Oil Pan features a billet flange 10.5mm thick, -10AN turbo oil return port, nine-quart oil capacity, and decreased weight over steel counterparts, all while improving the ground clearance on the vehicle.
For road race applications, we recommend adding an Accusump for added insurance.
